Finally, Laxmibai announces that she will do the honours. While the wedding ceremony is on, Laxmibai feels a stinging sensation in her stomach but she realises that she must control her agony, so she goes to visit the physician. However, Laxmibai is shocked when she watches the physician accept a reward from a British officer. She calls out to the physician but he escapes in the cart. However, she catches up with him. The physician then begs for forgiveness from Laxmibai and confesses that he was paid to belie her pregnancy. He also mentions that he had given her poison many times to have her pregnancy terminated but by God's grace it didn't have any effect. Laxmibai is delighted to know that she is pregnant.
