The Start of Skagen Watches
Skagen watches began with the story of two immigrants who came to New York from Denmark. This concentrate was here to begin marketing a brand of watches in order for the Danish company to enlarge worldwide. This brand was a nice watch to have and began the Skagen line. The concentrate who introduce this design to the American shop found that the brand was likable by the public, but would not come to be beloved because of just the logo and name recognition. Ability and affordability had to go with the name recognition.
This made the concentrate order four unique designs from the Danish company and approximately eight-hundred pieces. These initial designs became the Skagen brand. The order was sold speedily and other order went just as rapidly. The starting of Skagen was launched. The four designs made the immigrants in New York desire to kick off further designs and those grew to over thirty different models for the next year. Their perception of what individuals wanted made their designs different from the rest of the watch designs on the shop and this turned into a triumph.
The watches were handcrafted and trustworthy with a Scandinavian flavor as well as being reasonably priced in order to satisfy the median person. An unexpected meeting with a local account producer would put the Skagen line on the map. The account placed one of the designs on the back of the publication. This ad earned more than 0,000 and all of the stock sold out. The concentrate was only working from a small apartment placed in New York City, but the success of this woman's watch was be start. The designers were on their way to bigger and good things.
Bloomingdale's decided to take a occasion on Skagen, but only on a trial basis. The designs stocked by the store sold out within hours and the revolutionary Skagen line hit the worldwide shop after this. The company soon became the new rising star and other publications named them as the local up and comers in the watch market. Soon after their success in America, the two originators set up an office in their home country of Denmark and speedily grew to eighty stores. The 250 designs marketed by the designer are being sold worldwide in over 5,000 stores. The occasion that this concentrate took with the former marketing of four designs has grown into a million dollar company spanning the world while still being creative in design.
That small New York apartment has developed into a starting point for all the models from Denmark to the rest of the world. There is no longer just two employees, there is now over 170 working in many places, but still assisting in new, creative designs. The former designers' passion has made the world want more and more.

Feminine Power, Goddess power and Feminine Essence
Of course, being a woman I am embodying quite a bit of feminine essence this time around. It's a joy, a pleasure, and a privilege to be a woman at this time. The feminine, magnetic, moving force brings ease and flow to life rather than having to work so hard.
But it makes as petite sense to value, honor, and focus only on the Goddess "half" of God as it would be to value only your left hand and chop your right hand off. Personally I don't divide them off like that, nor do I do Goddess ceremonies, nor do I speak about the masculine and feminine aspects that much.
The topic came up recently when I was interviewed by Kirsten Stendevad, a women's leader in Copenhagen, Denmark about being a "goddess" (her term).
Although I don't use the word much, I am a goddess - I reign over my domain, originate my reality, and do it with a strong feminine magnetic power rather than "going out and knocking it over the head and dragging it home" in the primary masculine sense, like I used to do when I was a corporate consultant. I love this new more feminine phase of my life. It's more inner focused, softer, and by all means; of course deeper, richer, quieter, and more powerful.
Your non-physical Large Self, extensive Self, or God Self has no gender. It's not concerned with gender at all. And even on this physical plane, you could forget all about masculine and feminine and do quite well, creating a rewarding, powerful, fulfilling, contributory life. I think the masculine/feminine topic only comes up for citizen when one sex is feeling disempowered, one pole of the balance has been neglected, or when there's an issue that's screaming to be addressed.
In a path that authentically works, you don't get under the hood and fix things or try to balance the masculine/feminine. There's no need to. As you expand, wake up, enlighten, and get free of lower vibrations, all that takes care of itself. Men open up more to the feminine, and women find their power in the outer world.
A true path is not about you working on yourself, or working on anything, although the Grace can work on You. We don't try to fix the world-balance of masculine/feminine either. As each of you balance, the world balances a bit more, sometimes slowly, but surely.
Gender, male and female, are authentically only relevant in this Earth size we live in, and even then only as much you let them be. If you have any limiting feelings or beliefs about either gender, you've come to a good place.
Often I see women doing "goddess work", seminars, books, and ceremonies when they feel disempowered or feel the need to overthrow the masculine. Many women authentically need to originate their masculine aspect, especially if they are struggling with money or not doing well with men. What you resist persists. Remember the old saying, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em"? Say yes to masculine, And feminine.
A few do goddess "worship" for a good reason: they've lost touch with their feminine essence and wish to reactivate it.
As a teen I felt disempowered being a woman, but by the Grace of God grew out of it and have never looked back. During my entire work life and then corporate work I never felt the slightest bit disadvantaged by being a woman, and haven't since, because I did originate my masculine aspect, that capability to go out and "knock it over the head and bring it home". I learned to play that game well, and it served well.
Life is about achieving balance, so the time came to return to my more feminine essence. Without realizing it, I was plainly drawn to grow my hair out long and begin to wear more feminine, lacy clothes. Inspired art, and then music began to flow from within me very easily. I dived into deep wells of feelings that had frosty over and come to be stagnant, liberating gigantic power and power.
Now I feel ecstatic appreciation for how my feminine power brings ease and flow - how it has things come to me rather than having to do so much activity to make things happen.
On this Earth plane, we're all a aggregate of masculine and feminine, and I love and honor both aspects. Without the more active, assertive masculine power we'd be ineffectual and passive. And without some feminine power a man would lack sensitivity and association with others, and would have to do too much to achieve too little.
On the rare occasions I do talk in seminars about masculine/feminine, I talk about the Fertile Void as feminine, and the seeds of belief and intention we originate as masculine. The Fertile Void is the immeasurable "nothing", the primordial essence from which all is born. It's the nothing from which all comes. It's pre-form, pre-energy, pre-creation, pre-thought, even pre-being. We don't have words or concepts to report it. It contains all possibilities yet it's empty.
Although no metaphor adequately captures the strangeness of our Universe, the Fertile Void could be belief of as the "womb" of the Universe. When the masculine seed of your belief or intention penetrates the Fertile Void, something is fertilized, one of the infinite number of possibilities in the Fertile Void is activated, and it materializes.
For example, the belief and intention, "Let there by light" fertilized something in the nothing of the Fertile Void, and then there was light.
Let's get back to a more practical focus. I don't spend much time in the theoretical, abstract, or metaphysical. One, I'm too busy enjoying life - I'd rather play the instrument than take it apart to see why it makes that sound. Two, truth is simple, and you don't need a lot of head knowledge to tap into the vast Divine Intelligence, masculine Or feminine. As a matter of fact, if you keep your mind empty and open, what you need just comes in when you ask or intend it to.
Our culture and our community has come to be very masculine action-oriented. Rather than begin an attempt in the ground of being, too often the attempt begins with a petite thought, and then gigantic doing. And if we need or want more, we "do" more.
A more feminine, allowing approach would be to put "being" before doing. Who we "be" all the time attracts the essence of that being. So a feminine approach, if you wanted more of something, would be to begin to vibrate the essence of it, and let the corresponding manifestation of it begin to come to you. The more masculine approach would be to fly into activity and put a lot of work into it - the "go knock it over the head and drag it home" approach.
What's most effective? A balanced combination, of course. Line up the power first, then do only the activity you're guided to do. Honor, respect, and use both appropriately.
Most important of all, the Fertile Void is where we go and sit in the silence. It's the most great place I know of. It's beyond the beyond. In the practical sense, sitting in that silence is more great than receiving any number of verbal guidance. When you get still, you are out of the way, and when you are out of the way, Grace carries you on the stream of life. You don't need to know anything, it just happens. Sitting in the Fertile Void authentically helps you solve problems, although you have no idea how they get solved.

Thousands of fans and tourists are improbable to descend on South Africa to watch their popular teams take centre stage in their national team uniforms. Overall, an estimated six billion habitancy will watch the matches worldwide.
The Ceo of the World Cup Organizing Committee, Dr Danny Jordaan admits that it's been a tough road at times, but he finds inspiration in the men and women who have worked tirelessly to ensure they go from the planning to the playing stage. "When you look at them and you look in their eyes you get a sense they've all decided, 'we won't let you down, we won't let the country down', and that they're going to make this work," says Jordaan. He hopes that when the final whistle has blown, Nelson Mandela and the many other leisure fighters will be smiling in the realization that the World Cup was delivered by both black and white coming together, that all their efforts and sacrifices were not in vain...
This World Cup's mascot is Zakumi, a cute leopard with green hair! He was born on the 16th of June 1994, the year that apartheid ended. The 'Za' in Zakumi is the international abbreviation for South Africa and 'kumi' means ten in many African languages. It also means 'come here' in some southern African languages. The green and yellow colors of the mascot stand for the host nation's flag and playing strip. Zakumi's designer, Andries Odendaal, explains that the animal's green hair was designed to contribute camouflage on the football pitch.

The Working Chinese Girl
Abstract:
In this paper I would like to survey the world of young Chinese women contentious in a contemporary China for jobs and the fulfillment of the ambitions they left University with but by and large feel unfulfilled. In China today more and more young women are leaving University and seeking their first job. They are full of hope that they will find a good job that pays well and can give them the hope of promotion and hereafter prosperity. However in the harsh economic world of 2009, when most countries are in financial accident and the Chinese government is thrusting money into the banking ideas to save a downward export market, things are not as rosy for these girls as it was five years ago while the capitalist explosion of wealth in China.
Introduction:
When you ask most Chinese girls in their last year of University what they want to do they all give a similar stock answer. "I want to work of an International business in a executive position where I can earn good money and have prospects for the future" When then asked why this is their goal you get a supplementary reply, I need to think about my hereafter as I will one day need to sustain my house - under the one baby policy in China - I am obligated to look after my parents when they get old as the state currently does not provide for Chinese senior citizens." Then you ask the next question, are there adequate jobs for all the girls who are finding for the same things, they answer, "fate is our guide, we will work hard and hope that our ambitions will come to pass."
The above shows the wildly optimistic approach many of these girls have in their thought processes and are not no ifs ands or buts persuaded that this may be a rosy view of the chances they face in a China in an export decline where taxes are supporting Banks who borrowed widely and unwisely in the Usa and home markets. Where International companies are shedding staff and inspecting moves to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand to take advantage of the economy labour and lower costs as China becomes a world economic player and prices rise as domestic question does not sustain many of the high-tech and consumer led products for sale.
Of policy in this new atmosphere the provide of new jobs has declined to an all time low for companies and as staff leave they are not being replaced. The work naturally being shared surrounded by the ones who stay. This in turn is causing tremendous pressure on young staff that often break down and leaves to return jobless to their families. At many work fairs held around China only 2,000 jobs may be on offer with over 30,000 students crowding the halls contribution poor ability resumes in the hope of a job when they graduate. International companies have learned that while Chinese students have a vast number of knowledge through memory studying (rote) they have tiny comprehension into the subjects they learn and no ifs ands or buts no practical applications or critical mental skills. So most also realise that supplementary on job training in China adds supplementary costs that in the present atmosphere they cannot afford.
All this leads to an unemployability of Chinese students that International companies recognise as a problem. It is also one of the reasons Chinese university degrees are not recognised by most Western countries as valid. Two reasons are behind this, the first is the lack of external marking and appraisal in China - too easy to cheat your way through the ideas and the second is corruption, fathers paying for grades to be changed, examinations to be fixed and so the actual degree paper becomes worthless in many countries eyes. This is also a shame, as a University Professor in China I know the median trainee here works very hard and long hours. Given permissible teaching and sustain they can flourish just as much as any Western trainee if not better.
They after all, under the one baby policy, have more pressure to do well and come to be victorious to sustain aging parents in the future. Older parents also get sick and with no free curative sustain in China, many either go without rehabilitation or pay huge sums to hospitals for what are often poor ability services. A young woman mental about all these problems for the hereafter wants to study hard and make sure she can sustain them.
Another clarification to house sustain is of policy a good marriage, to the good boy, from the good family, with the good job and the good prospects. Abundance of boys to marry in China but few who live up to such high expectations that these single girls are finding for. A third and sad clarification for some is suicide - China has the top suicide rate surrounded by young women in the world!
Once in the workplace many of the girls find the work either very boring or they have an over-load of tasks that they find hard to complete. This leads to stress either way - they often survey leaving within a short time, but the house factors keep them in place. Employers know the pressures of house very well and exploit these feelings to the maximum by over-working staff, forcing late working hours and tiny real reward in terms of revenue and benefits, However always the promise that tomorrow will be best if they continue to work hard. This situation in a communist country is quite laughable if it were not so tragic for the young working girls.
In an ideology of Socialist Marxist ideals China has moved a long way from this mental today. No cadres now sharing the spoils of hard work, no share of the profits from their hard earned labour. No they have discovered Western capitalism at its worse. In the West laws were passed to safe workers proprietary (mainly through past Union activities) enabling them redress under the law against employers who exploit the worker. However in China even if such laws exist the natural instinct to obey your boss and do as you are told are so strong that not a single employee would even think about legal redress for unfair working practices.
Examples: All based in Shanghai
Dolly 25 - Working for a Taiwanese company. Two years as a task manager, no promotion as only Taiwan staff can be promoted in China, even if you come to be a team leader it is unofficial and not paid for in your contract. Over a third of the staff have left due to the economic turndown, existing staff now working on median a 14 hour day to fulfil obligations to clients. house has health problems and she fears for her ability to sustain them unless she changes her job or gains more education.
Betty 24 - Working for a Hong Kong bank. Three years as a buyer sustain role. Promotion offered as a sideways move but in fact less initial income. Some training is deducted from revenue as not directly seen as applicable to the banks welfare. Wants to leave but cannot - her house rely on her revenue to sustain two retired parents. No boyfriend as with her low revenue and high cost of living in Shanghai she cannot afford to go out. Searching for a husband on the internet most evenings is her chief work at home.
Rachel 32 - Working for an International Art firm. Arranges exhibitions and marketing to potential supporters. Same pay now as five years ago - no prospects of a pay rise in the future. Wants to marry an American to get away from her boring poor life.
Sharon: Working for a hotel group. buyer sales and liaison. There were five girls in the sales agency but today just herself and the sales manager. She feels with the number of new hotels being built daily in Shanghai she should move to growth her pay and security. Foreign boyfriend who does not want a commitment to marriage.
Sonia: Working for a Japanese company. Produce and marketing. She was very happy with her work but found the money was very low compared to similar jobs she sees advertised However because she has very nice work colleagues and a happy atmosphere in the business she decides for now to stay. She gets to travel in her work and at first enjoyed this but now realises that business travel is no ifs ands or buts quite boring and repetitive in nature. Long trips, same hotels rooms, same customers.
Insight:
In each of the examples above the girls were asked how they felt their real experiences of work compared to their expectations on leaving university. They all agreed they have been greatly disappointed by the work experience. They also thought they worked much longer hours than Western citizen do (14 - 16 hour days are normal) who work a 9 to 5 type arrangements. Although part of the culture in China is you do not leave the office before you boss. So many sit on computers after their contractual hours and play computer games or chat on line to friends. We call this Qq time in China! It is not all work in a Chinese office in fact often they ignore work to watch movies or other such things on the net. This is in the main because they feel they deserve a break when they feel not appreciated or financially supported by the company. Although this seems to be more prevalent in Chinese owned companies that International ones.
What do women want?
When asked after at least two years working experience what do they now want. A surprising answer came from many of the girls, "a rest" Most no ifs ands or buts wanted to quit the jobs and go home to the family. In China the house represents safety and peace, so after the hassles and disappointments with employment they felt, to get away for a while and have a rest would be the best thing to do. When asked if a break at such an early time in their employment was wise in respect to the hereafter for pay and promotion most replied, "I used to believe that fantasy but now I know the truth, no-one cares about you but your family" almost all the girls reported no ifs ands or buts no loyalty to their owner and felt that the business shows no caring attitude towards them. Although here I have only shown a few examples in fact in interviewing dozens of girls about work - this same attitude after two years of work was very tasteless surrounded by them. Of policy there were some exceptions, girls who loved their job and were very happy to stay and show sustain for the establishment but this was quite rare.
Conclusion:
It seems that for most young women in China (Shanghai in particular) they are unhappy at work and mostly wanted to leave to find a best job or naturally give up and go home for a while. My own consideration is that Chinese girls mature a lot later than Western women and also want marriage much earlier from starting work after university. This being the case they are more in a hurry to result and have tiny patience in going through a maturing process at work to learn the job and seek timely promotions. This is because the pressure of enforcement to the parents and the early pursuance of a marriage partner dominate their mental most of the time. They see tiny sense in dedication to a career, at the cost of personal relationships, that many in the West recognise as a sell out in order to result as women in the workplace.
While I am not advocating that women have to be so single minded the evidence seems to show that victorious citizen are more likely to have transient relationships and higher rates of separation than working class equivalents. Of policy another factor is over-education, just like in many countries China is development it easier and easier to get a university place. This means a lowering of standards (as seen in the Uk) where professors have to cope with students who clearly do not have the ability to attend industrialized courses. The result being thousands of graduates who expect good jobs in a shrinking economy and with tiny real talent to offer.
Last Word:
This paper may see a tiny gloomy in article and I recognise that it is. Of policy many of the girls who talked about their careers and work were in fact unhappy and it is hard to find happy workers who feel the need to express that feeling to others. So while I recognise a confident bias in the paper I hope that is will at least act as a warning beacon to girls to possibly lower their expectations of work and put in order for a more realistic view of life's struggle.

The Start of Skagen Watches
Skagen watches began with the story of two immigrants who came to New York from Denmark. This join was here to begin marketing a brand of watches in order for the Danish company to advance worldwide. This brand was a nice watch to have and began the Skagen line. The join who introduce this originate to the American store found that the brand was likable by the public, but would not become beloved because of just the logo and name recognition. Capability and affordability had to go with the name recognition.
This made the join order four unique designs from the Danish company and roughly eight-hundred pieces. These first designs became the Skagen brand. The order was sold quickly and another order went just as rapidly. The starting of Skagen was launched. The four designs made the immigrants in New York desire to set in motion additional designs and those grew to over thirty dissimilar models for the next year. Their perception of what individuals wanted made their designs dissimilar from the rest of the watch designs on the store and this turned into a triumph.
The watches were handmade and reliable with a Scandinavian flavor as well as being reasonably priced in order to satisfy the average person. An unexpected meeting with a local account producer would put the Skagen line on the map. The account settled one of the designs on the back of the publication. This ad earned more than 0,000 and all of the stock sold out. The join was only working from a small apartment settled in New York City, but the success of this woman's watch was be start. The designers were on their way to bigger and best things.
Bloomingdale's decided to take a opening on Skagen, but only on a trial basis. The designs stocked by the store sold out within hours and the revolutionary Skagen line hit the worldwide store after this. The company soon became the new rising star and other publications named them as the local up and comers in the watch market. Soon after their success in America, the two originators set up an office in their home country of Denmark and quickly grew to eighty stores. The 250 designs marketed by the designer are being sold worldwide in over 5,000 stores. The opening that this join took with the original marketing of four designs has grown into a million dollar company spanning the world while still being creative in design.
That small New York apartment has advanced into a starting point for all the models from Denmark to the rest of the world. There is no longer just two employees, there is now over 170 working in many places, but still assisting in new, creative designs. The original designers' passion has made the world want more and more.
